I use this guy:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I stick it to the vertical surface to the right of the HVAC panel. The magnet holds extremely well, even through track conditions. |

Yeah it's just a cheap gopro compatible mount, there's nothing official (which makes sense since then you're using your phone and not their cameras). I got an adjustable noname one because I'm cheap but the FreeRide looks pretty good. You could also get a Manfrotto phone mount and then a gopro to 1/4" camera adaptor, but adding pieces adds cost. I need to fix the pivot arm in place though, it seems to sag every few weeks.

If you have two peace front panel I think this is best/simplest/cheapest option. No glue or modifications. Could be simply removed.

I just bought the magnetic 3M one for my OFT. Have it on the dash right now and might use it for my phone on the off times I don't have OFT mounted.
Typically I just use a suction cup on the side window/triangle for my phone.

Credit to @syience as it is his design and who 3D printed it for me. I'd suggest sending him a PM.

Found one that fits!!
So Apple told me when I had my iPhone X battery replaced to not use magnetic anything on my phone! Or it hurts the camera section on the rear and can interfere with the maps etc etc. so I took off the magnet which was stuck on the back of my phone (I used to place magnetically onto the magnetic vent holder).
I’ve gone through so many refunds in order to find the correct size and shape that fit this dam car! Mounts that is! I’m right handed and needed a holder clasp type that sits on the right vent! (not magnetic). The only one I’ve found to work is the BELKIN car vent mount sold at BIG W (Australian store). You’d probably be able to buy it online. About $29.95 Model number I think is: F7U017bt Ps have had my Toyota 86 gts since 2013 and have not had one thing Wrong with this car. It’s been brilliant. The best car I’ve ever owned and won’t be selling anytime at all ever!!! |

Apple is full of shit.. ive used a magnetic mount for years without issue. Proclip + scosche magnetmount XL is the best phone mount i've ever used.
I had those vent clips which do work, but eventually they cause wear to your vents and make them loose and floppy. I replaced a vent due to that (it was easy FWIW, and cheap).

Iphones, pixels, nexus phones.. have never had a problem with any of them tbh. The only thing ive seen is the magnet interfering with wireless charging.
