Yes it's really scary. lol I thought it was because I installed a cold air intake. My car actually turned off yesterday twice.

If it's dying in idle, take it to the dealer ASAP. Not safe to have the car in motion in traffic if it's going to stall out in idle, take it from me.

I'm taking to the dealer ASAP, but do you think that they will give me issues about my cold air intake mod?

Not if it's the right dealer, and if you get any static, turn it back to stock.

Have you ever encountered this problem? By the way, I had my ECU flashed before from the dealer when the car was stock.

To clarify a lot of the questions that are coming in:

- No, there is not a vacuum leak. You can hear the misfire when the RPMs dip.
- The engine is 100% stock. Nothing on the engine has been modified. Intake, headers, tune, cats, all stock. The engine had a catback, but we all know that does nothing to really do anything except add noise. ALL other components were untouched, except for what was replaced when Subaru replaced our first engine.
- Yes, this is our 2nd engine. Our first engine was also stock.
- Motul 300V engine oil was used (eliminates the low quality oil question).
- No CEL until the engine was making crazy noises and something was obviously wrong.

Injector seals. There's another thread about this exact issue, give me a sec to find it.

EDIT: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20930 check page two for videos, sounds identical to your car.

Yup, that's the exact failure we had with our first engine.
