Hood Vents

Any recommendation for hood vents? I will be installing a FI kit soon and would like to address the heat issue in advance. I am not sure which brand of vents are actually functional for venting the heat. I am also concerned about downforce or damage from rain water.

Verus hood vents. CFD tested and even have optional rain guards. The install is a breeze with their templates that are designed for the twins.

Trackspec hood vents. There is only one best, and I imagine if you're looking for vents, you want cooling.

I’m pretty sure rain guards means less cooling to minimal cooling. Kinda defeats the purpose unless someone is going for aesthetics only or the rain guards can go on and off with the seasons.

You mean blocking off the vents you just added for cooling?

In winter? Yes.
Given, how often one seen in USSR times blocked radiators of cars and trucks with sheet of paper or something alike during usage in winter .. maybe rainguards are not THE right answer, but i'd prefer something designed in construction to quickly/preferably without tools, put on to block and remove for times/track (or summer in general), when needed.

I'll toss Driveway labs out there, so you have another option to look at.

As for downforce, any that function, should reduce lift. "outies" will add more downforce vs. "innies", generally speaking.

I’ve seen trackspec vents on our platform mounted far forward and far back. So where is the opitmal location to have them mounted?
