Subaru is an expert of hiding development and Toyota is pretty good as well.

Except for the MkV Supra, which had to be one of the longest, most drawn out developments I’ve ever seen. Literally years on years worth of speculation and camo wrapped cars all over the internet.

Well to be fair to Toyota a lot of that was just people on the internet wanting to get attention. Toyota wasn’t revealing much of anything about a new Supra. Once they announced the partnership with BMW, it made it into production fairly quickly (for a low volume sports car).

In the case of the one that started this thread and the one it was parroting the confirmed source was correct on the engine displacement. Only the displacement. Nothing else. Every single other confirmed "fact" was wrong. Even the renders are laughable now.
