FS: Bilstein B14 PSS coilovers

Hello ft86,

I have a set of Bilstein B14 PSS coilovers for sale - it is pre-assembled with oem top hats and I've switched to Teins Street Flex coils. They are about 1 month old with ~200 miles on them, PM for more info but tldr the top thread on the front struts are stripped and it is not recommend that the top hats are replaced unless you want to try and rethread. I had a shop tighten the top nuts properly and it's in great condition if you are only looking to do a simple install. They reassured me of the condition for future buyers. You can also keep your stock suspension assembled in case you ever want to swap it back.

Located in the Bay Area, sites have it on sale for $1,099 + tax/shipping for new. Currently for sale for $800 shipped so give or take 2/3rds of the price of new plus pre-assembled for either easier install or lower install rates at shops.

Hey thanks, I do think that someone would be better off spending $800 otd on these than buying cheaper new coils so hopefully it finds the right person.

How much stiffer compared to stock? Why did you switch them out after only 200 miles?

Yikes how those threads get stripped? Interested but need to know that they weren't damaged internally by bad installer, thanks!

Hey, Bilstein states that since these aren't adjustable dampening, they have them set for what they believe is great for street use. It's better than my Teins in terms of bouncing on bad roads and is a bit stiffer than stock but there's not much to configure. I switched out since I was going to have Bilstein service them and didn't have access to my oem suspension - my schedule is tight so my only option at the time was to have a shop order Teins and swap these out.

Instead of sending it to Bilstein the shop recommended I leave it pre-assembled and sell it instead. At one point, one of the front struts did have a clunk because the tophat needed to be tightened, most of the miles were from the drive to the shop to have it inspected, he did tighten it properly and said it's good to go.

Hey, install went fine except that Bilstein washers supposedly do not fit well. One bad run at putting on the top nut stripped it but it's only the top half. The shop tightened it towards the bottom where there are still threads - with an impact gun but properly. I had concerns about the shocks as well but he seemed confident in their condition. Worst case scenario, you're paying 1/3rd of the price of new and may have to have 1 shock serviced.
