MAX cruise control speed
well I found the max cruise control speed today... I couldn't get it to accept anything over 91.
Anyone else ever notice this? Jaden |

I noticed it wouldn't do 100, never tried anything else. Have thought a lot of times cruising at 100 probably inadvisable for many reasons

What really got me is you can still use the cruise control stalk to accelerate over 90...

IIRC, it is related to engine RPM. It won't allow you to set cruise if the engine is turning too fast. In top gear that happens to be something like 93. It's been a while since I noticed this, so I don't remember the exact speed.

Yes, i noticed that when i made my trip from Pennsylvania to California. I tried to set the cruise on 92 mph but it dropped back to 91. I tried higher speed settings to no avail. 91 mph is it. I did have it up to 125 mph. Very stable and could have run at 125 all day long but the anti-destination state police would have interfered.
