I just want a bigger sedan (I guess the WRX counts in that respect?) because back seats would be nice to have, more comfortable ride, more sound insulation, faster, etc.

FRS just doesn't really tickle my fancy too much anymore. I like the car still, but really, it's just a car 9 times out of 10. That 1 time out of ten is when I'm driving on a fun road, which, admittedly doesn't happen as often as it should.

Chances are I wouldn't mainly because I've only ever bought the same car twice in one pair (two Chevy Astros) and that was only because it was a second/family car that work perfect for us.

My problem is the process for me buying a DD takes me weeks sometimes because of my varied interests.

Yeah I would say wrx count as bigger sedan... hell, if you compare to 86, even Corolla is a big sedan lol

I don’t see any use of back seat. I had Altima (‘97), but didn’t use back seat at all. I rarely give a ride or haul anything big, so felt pointless to have sedan. After Altima, I only bought coupe and so far I’m doing good... & prob I’ll Stay coupe til long as I can.

True, it’s rare to see ppl buy same car twice. Specially same generation. If there was next gen available, would you? It’s like those ppl buy Camry, but they buy different generation of Camry kinda thing.

If I were to total my car and not buy another 86 I would probably end up with an EcoBoost Mustang. Time to finally try something not Japanese for once.

It would absolutely have to corner as well or better than the 86 that's for sure. I'm in love with the handling. There is something to be said for an efficient CAR. Forget mpgs, or even efficient power, if you don't have slow down for the turns you don't have speed up again afterwards!

Well, I was having a pretty fucking good day, until about 10 minutes ago.

I spent most of my late morning and early afternoon building a keyboard. My very first time solder even! I was so beyond happy when I tested the keyboard and only one switch didn't work, because there wasn't enough flux on it. Fixed that up, and she's good to go.

But wait, there's a fucking design flaw in the board. The way the feet screw into the base of the keyboard, the screw makes contact with the PCB and it forces the case to come apart. Call the vendor, then send them pictures and they said "the acrylic is probably warped, use a hair dryer to straighten it out" then they hung up on me.

Fuck those guys. Will be doing some DIY on fixing the keyboard, either by make the feet holes countersunk, or by drilling new holes slightly more towards the center so that the screw heads dont hit the PCB.

It would depend 1) on whether it was a completely new car or just an update of the existing platform and 2) whether those changes were an improvement over the original or just a different car altogether. Since we don't know I can't say.

For example, I really liked the C6 Vette, but had I owned one when the C7 came out I probably would have traded up immediately. It was just a much better car.

When the MK2 MR2 came out, I just held on to my MK1. It was too radical a departure, and just didn't feel the same to me although I know technically the MK2 is a better car, but I'd rather have the MK1.

Since I keep cars long-term it is very possible the next car I buy could be the last (or second to last) one I buy. Because of that, if I totaled the FRS today, I'd most likely replace it with something more "practical" like the CTS-V.

I bought three Lancers in a row. First one was great. Second was spectacular. Third was a piece of crap that made me hate them for life. The new versions are not always the best.

I have three Sequoias... the 2001 has been flawless, the 2004 has lots of minor issues, and the 2007 has only a couple minor issues. I think a lot of variables are at play (supplier changes, worker changes, etc...) along with design changes.
