Is this a custom job, or is it made by a manufacturer specifically for the MR-Spyder?

I'd love to get a solution like that for the BRZ so that I could mount a rack to carry a couple MTB's.

As long as you are towing a lighter one axle trailer, you shouldn't have an issue. Just be gentile when towing.
