Some pics don't exactly look like they do in person. I recommend you go to the tint shop you're planning to go to and ask to see examples. Most shops have examples displayed. I went with 35% in the sides and 15% in the rear.

Looks like you can go 35% on the sides where you live and darker in the back:

I found this representation somewhat helpful:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=11 I ended up going with 30% all around: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=14 |

Mines 35 on the sides 20 on the rest of the car. I feel like its the best combo if you want to be legal in most states, otherwise I think 20 on everything looks the best, any harder and its hard to see at night.

Can never go wrong with 35% all around. Classiest % IMHO not too light and not too dark. All depends what you like of course and what color your car is plays a factor

20% on all sides WRB BRZ. 24% is legal in Washington but I found 20% to be what I think looks the best. Paid 180$ before tax.

I am sure the OP has his tint already if he even still has the car at this point!

Well shoot. While we're at this old thang, want some opinions on tint options for asphalt cars looking to go silver/OEM theme.
I am hard pressed to find a tint setup I like on the asphalt. I feel like fishbowl looks better than most, if not any other setup I've seen so far. I don't particularly like fish bowl, but I don't like how most tints seem to clash with the dark grey. Anyone (asphalt pref) care to chime in/show some examples of how to make tint work on that specific colour? |

I can take a couple pics of my car. I have an ashphalt frs with 5% tint. Can't see in through the window and as for seeing out. It's very hard at the start. But I wouldn't change it at all.
