Ah thats the difference. We were given a brand new 2020 that was fully loaded.

Take a look at one of you ever get the opportunity. Such a blizzare decision to place Frequently used controls in a not so simple to access spot. I recall the lane keep assist kicking in because I was getting pissed off trying to adjust the vent speed.

Stupid question, but is the foam canon powered by a pressure washer or a regular hose?

Costco Meguiars Polymer Wash and Wax Review

Some can be powered with a pressure washer, some with a regular hose, the latter depends highly on your water pressure for it to be effective. If you are referring to the foam cannon I’m using, is a pressure washer one.

A pressure washer will give you more foam.

I've been using the yellow stuff, "ultimate wash and wax" and topping it off with Griotts Ceramic Spray Wax. Seems to last at least a couple months. The car sits outside 24/7 and gets tree garbage, bird poop and dirt from landscapers with their damned leaf blowers, and often i'll just spray water on it to rinse it and drive to work. The Griots' stuff beads like crazy and doesn't seem to leave water spots, i guess our water here doesn't have a ton of hard minerals.

The blue "polymer" stuff is not on their website it seems? Maybe it's been replaced by a different product.

I think is because it's a Costco exclusive.

It's also available from Walmart online for those without Costco memberships (at a premium price).

I must have missed that. Still think it's odd it's not on their site. Wonder which is better?

Hard to say. The blue polymer forumla advertises that they use "synthetic wax" meaning it's a sealant. The yellow wash and wax is a carnuba and sealant mixture.

Pure synthetic sealants will last longer than carnuba waxes. If I had to guess the blue polymer formula would last longer, though wash and wax aren't intended to provide long lasting protection so who knows if there is any noticeable difference.
Usually you use a similar spray on protection and the wash and wax can act as a booster.

“Thank you for contacting Meguiar’s Solutions Hub.

In terms of what both “Ultimate Wash and Wax” and “Polymer Wash and Wax” are ultimately meant to do… the distinction is negligible. “Polymer Wash and Wax” is offered in one gallon bottles and is exclusively available at Costco. “Ultimate Wash and Wax” is available in 48 ounce bottles in retail and one gallon bottles exclusively from Amazon.”

That’s all Meguiars was able to say on the subject.

A little update on this soap.

While it always offers a great finish after washing, I'm not a big fan on how it removes pollen/bird poop stains. I have found myself having to scrub stains a little harder than usual even after the initial foaming and letting the foam sit to loosen up dirt particles. In contrast, Meguiars Gold Wash worked a little better removing dirt, but the finish was a little dull even if you have a sealant and ceramic coat. I don't necessarily mind it too much, but while using microfiber sponges is the safest for paint, takes a little more elbow grease to remove dirt stains and debris. Using the Gold wash made this easier.

Just something to keep it mind if you are someone that likes a quick foam, rinse, wash, and dry process.

You can always just use a water-less wash, I don't know how I feel about those.
