Question Best Daily Wheel/Tire Set up

I'm a car noob and lookin for some help. What's the best Wheel and tire size for daily driving a stock 2013 BRZ (Size, Width and all that for both wheel and tire). If it means anything I'm currently in San Antonio TX so winter weather not really a concern. Also if there is any recommendations for specific wheels or tires that's cool too. Appreciate all the help in advance!

Depends really on how you drive it and what you value in a tire. Budget is also a huge part of this.

I usually tell people who want a decent all around tire to grab the Hankook Ventus V12 Concept 2. It's got better grip than stock but is still something you have fun with at stock power. Tires ( in my opinion) are one of the most complicated modifications to suggest for someone else. If you want a lot of grip and get a low treadwear tire like the Bridgestgone Potenza RE-71R or the Falken Azenis RT615k, you'll find that it loses its cold weather traction and rain performance typically. They also cost more and ride rougher under normal circumstances.

If you have nothing you're searching for in particular, get the tire that is the cheapest and run it until it blows or wears out. If you have no budget, the Pilot Sport 4S is a sweet daily tire.

Best size for stock in my opinion is 225/45r17

If you truly only care about daily driving/commuting, almost nothing beats stock.

A Few options:

Good looks and daily ability, no rubbing or any fitment issues is 18x8 225/40 tires

Standard track setup is 17x9 255 tires
This setup has wider wheels to give more grip on the track

Enkei's are pretty much the bread and better of performance aftermarket wheels. High quality, light weight, been around forever, and completely reasonably priced. Lots of good options out there though.

Stay stock size 215 45r 17 with a lighter than stock wheel in the color and design you like. This car needs all the help it can get on power. Don’t go adding unsprung weight to a slow car. Plus it’s more fun because it will slide a bit. When you go bigger you get better grip but lose some playfulness. Maybe 225 45 R17 but make sure you get a lighter wheel to offset more rubber weight.

There's also the question of suspension mods, if any.

Best "daily" is the range of 7" to 8" wide, with an offset of around +40 to +45. Tires should be no wider than 225 and sidewall will vary based on wheel diameter.

Tires, entirely up to you and how much road noise you want to accept. Some compounds will be annoying.
