I have no problem with tuning the Exhaust sound With actual exhaust parts.

Main reason I won’t get a Tesla is sound. I have driven a few and they are wonderful, but I need sound, but real sound.
Miltek sells an exhaust for the Tesla Model 3 where you can choose your exhaust note. Note sure if its interior only or exterior also

I kind of like burble and pop when they're legit and random/occasional from like a downshift?

Constant burbles/pops and tuning for them are fucking dumb.

People cheer when an Operative comes along and sticks a sword in their chest, though.

I'm certain some BMWs use the stereo to enhance engine noise.

A firefly reference can never be unnecessary... it's a scientific fact.

I have some personal objections to using something i like to justify something i don't

There is an applicable gif, but it would counter the useless point I'm trying to make

I mean if your car is a race car or the burbles are a natural by product from a turbo I can deal with it.

But lately, it seems normal everyday cars are burbling. From a crappy little civic to a dodge dart, and almost every young dude in a plain BMW. I mean your car should not burble going 10-20mph on my block. Its a joke.

Am I getting old? Could be.

I totally agree. In my opinion it’s almost the same as putting a plastic cup on the rear tire of my bicycle when I was a kid just to make some noise.

Guess I’m getting old too

Ok, I lost my train of thought.
I am now up to six of these people in my neighbourhood. One of them a BRZ.
Stop at sign behind my house.
WOT
Let off

WOT again for 2 seconds

Oh, not really that old. Back in my childhood bicycle riding days, plastic cups hadn't been invented - we used playing cards to touch on the spokes to make noise.
