CFRP roof is worth every penny. The hood is not bad either but not that important.

So the sti verison is down right boring. Seriously a carbon fiber hood and some ugly plastic trim disguised as a spoiler.... I really hope that's just a "concept".

I think dry carbon will not turn yellow if you use proper clearcoat on it.

I don't think GFRP would be strong enough to lend structural integrity to the body.

The STI looks awesome. I'd have a hard time being swayed by anything else if it made it over here like that.

im sure thats just the stripped down, bare-bones version..... it was even on steelies... so i dont think you have anything to worry about

EDIT: unless you meant it as that you liked the black door handles then maybe... but you would probably have to buy it as the stripped version... if its even available to you subie guys over here....

it's... just accessories with an STI badges...there's is nothing in there on the site or in the Brochure that says that's an STI car.Think Of Lexus's F part, or Honda's mugen accessories, Nissan's Nismo parts etc.

The STI car you guys are thinking about are the turbo charged 300hp + cars... this is not it. Nor is there anything that says this car is, the concept shown at LA is just a concept we don't know if they will go any further with it. They hinted it but that's just a lot more waiting.

And fact of the matter is they didn't even need to make this Normal RWD version in the first place,Toyota asked them for help and used their power to have Subaru help. So they don't owe it to anyone to even make a full STI Variant. If they don't want to, they are probably working hard on an STI Wrx, which the next one is rumored to be a Coupe. So...why have 2 STI coupe in the line up... makes no sense.

So for people who are whining about " The STI version is Boring" you're terribly misinformed. If we went by your logic I can stick a GTR badge to my Forester and it's automatically a Nissan GTR.

Not to mention the fact people are complaining about the Limited Price now, how much complaints will we get when they Price an STI...the place will blow up.

Thanks for mentioning it again.

Theres some misunderstanding about what STi is and stands for. Production Cars truly "tuned by STi" are no more powerful than their Eco counterparts. Cars sold with more performance are generally just slapped on by STi and not truly a "tuned by STi" car.

Subaru Internationally uses STi as a marketing badge. Telling customers that STi = Performance which in part is both true and false. This is especially true in North American Market. STi being synonymous with Turbos. STi's true nature is nothing more than a inhouse parts bin of goodies...much like what NISMO is to Nissan.
