Isn't height measured from the floor to the center of the hub?

i think he was asking about the floor (the ground, you know what we walk on) and/or the lowest point of the chassis...like the frame rails.

I have no idea, usually they calculate from the "earth" to the top.

if this thing has 19inch wheels with 35/40 size tires, then I would say u can drop the car another 2 inches if u get 16's with a 50/55 size tire without worrying about rubbing and whatnot. Of course messing too much with the geometry of the suspension would hinder performance so 1-1.5inch drop is the best/safest bet....55 would be tooo much flex I would think.

And of course wheel/tire size will affect your speedo reading soo i dunno.

I think i am going off topic haha.

IIRC the FT-86 is going to be very close to the size of your/my MR2. The wheelbase will be very different, though. Lowering the car and stuffing wider tires in the wheelwells will be a pain, but not like the MR2. The front should be easier. The rear should be harder.

In a few years everybody will be posting about swaybars, alignment settings, camber plates, ball joints, end links, wheel offsets, wheel bearings, steering rack bushings, lowering springs, coilovers, and how to use that damn fender roller from Eastwood.
