I don't think I like that. I would rather have the new pivots, should improve oil pressure.

i understood that the pivots are specially modified by them, which was the reasoning for the core and the replacement pivots.
but if the update pivots have a deeper divot and better oiling, i'd rather get the newer pivots than someone's old modded shallow pivots, because the main issue that even needs these retainers is the shallow divot pivots.

According to another video posted by Denstoj the pivots don't supply oil to the rockers. The oil is supplied via a small hole next to the pivot. Here's a link to the oiling demostration video:

Did you have any other questions or videos that would help explain how the rocker system works? We hope no one has to go through the pain of another blown motor due to a rocker failure. |

Great! We've developed our bespoke drop-in replacement pivots with an engine performance machine shop with 25 years+ of experience manufacturing valve-train gear.
They will out-perform the stock pivots. As mentioned, with no machining required. There will be no price increase compared to our previous "Brand-new machined" kits. If you would like to be the first to know when we have stock, please email dennis@denstoj.com.au with "Drop-in FA20 Rockers" as the subject and mention you're from the FT86Club forums. |
