LOL. Negative to getting into this in the mid 2000s. Ammo has never been higher. Take me back to $6 a box for 550 rds of 22lr lol.

223/5.56 seems to be sitting right around 425/1k now.
9mm seems to be averaging 250/1k.

It wasn't that long ago when it was 300 shipped for 1k rounds of 5.56. *sigh*
Even reloading has gotten expensive thanks to the still recovering primer shortage.

I think my old coworker was reloading for 20-something cents a round 4-5 years ago. I remember paying mid 300's for 1k. I just paid like 440 for 1k and probably should have bought a couple thousand more.

Went with my brother to shoot our first 2Gun match this weekend. It was an experience! Even after seeing a ton of videos on youtube, nothing quite prepared me for the adrenaline rush even though I was taking my sweet time and barely jogging between points lol. Some of the stages were weird and started from a seated position.

I was absolutely pissed about the 200/300 yard targets at one stage because I made a last minute change a couple weeks ago to switch to 300blk and hadn't done any longer shots to learn the holds for this gun.

Can't wait to sign up for another one after a trip to the 500yd range.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I would really like to try it out sometime.

Just sign up and go for it. It seems most of them are cheap (like $25 entry fee) because they know you'll be dropping the coin on 100rds of rifle and 100rds of pistol ammo on top of that. It's a LOT of fun to run and gun though.

I really just don't have the time right now. Range time for me always has to happen on a weekday after work. My weekends are pretty full.

Yep, I remember those days on the range. There was no range fee and the ammo was free -

Guys like that are what forced the military to specify 3 round burst mode.

Thinking about picking up Sig P365, X or SAS or my CC… anyone owns one & cc em? Or if you have alternative options (around that size), like to hear it.

Tried shooting a 365 and actually hate the way the beavertail ram jams into my thumb bone when shooting it. I ended up going the Canik route with the MC9. I absolutely LOVE shooting this gun. So much that I want to buy more caniks and I've got my eye on a couple of them for my next purchases

For size reference.

Simple holster that works well.

Next to a G17

I’d recommend seeing if a gun range near you has some CC style guns you can rent and try out. I have one friend with a p365 as a carry but I haven’t shot it. A lot of people I know carry the Hellcat which is pretty similar. I have shot a couple different Hellcat’s with different setups and I liked it. I’d also like to shoot a Glock 43x, I have one friend that carries one of those but I haven’t gotten a chance to shoot it. My carry is quite out dated, a S&W Shield, .40cal, only 7 rounds in single stack and very similar in size to the handguns mentioned above.
