Is it safe to run a trip with a 1 year old oil?

Hello!

I will do the 2 year maintenance next week. Today has been exactly 1 year since my last oil change (5w30), and I drove only 3,2k miles (rushing quite a lot though).

I have today a 0,7 miles trip (highway) and I am a bit worried about if I should use another car or it is completely fine to drive my car with 1 year old oil

I know some of you have done some oil testing after you oil changes, maybe you can tell me some thoughts about if

You are absolutely fine driving on that oil. Good on you for playing it safe.

Synthetic oils break down due to use not time. It is entirely possible that the new oil they put in could be older than the old oil they take out. There is no shelf life.
All will be fine.

The calendar time on oil changes is for corrosion not oil break down. Driving it will help evaporate any moisture that has built up in the engine.

Yep, the dinosaur parts could have clogged up the crankcase oil screens -

Oh, OK.

I suggest you study up on the chemistry (including shelf life) of synthetic motor oils (don't forget to take into account the additives).
