@Veloist / @trippinbillies40 question about this:

Do either of you know if this works with 2017s? Is it the entire housing or just the bulb? Also brightness? And if the part can be purchased separately, if so.

To clarify this is taken from the Build a 2018 BRZ page. Looks like a $45 option to have the cabin dome light swapped to LED.

Is this a pic of your car? I’ll probably just get this sill then.

$45?!?

Dude - https://www.diodedynamics.com/dome-l...ubaru-brz.html

I've had one of these for over a year in my '17 - works great. No need to look to factory option for that.

Yeah, well, I've had issues with that option :\

Yeah it will work

This is the part number: H461SFL110
And it actually will fit every BRZ from 2013+

The $45 is for a single bulb lol

Geez. I wonder how reliable these are.. 45 is a lot but if it's more reliable than what I've had then it might be worth getting.

why not try a different type of bulb like the HP6 or SMF6? Tbh i have the SMF2 bulb its decently bright for me and i've had no issue using it in cold weather

Fair enough. I have had problems with their other bulbs pulsating on me in cold weather, the dome light has been solid though (I actually don't know which variant I'm using though). Shrug.

Buyer beware ~~

These are only the larger, inner pieces. You'll need the smaller, outer pieces if you want to complete the look... and since they are also, unexpectedly, piano black (like the interior stereo surround), you'll want to.

I didn't need the outer pieces since I have the JDM LEDs, so I'm fine - otherwise they would look awful with the stock flat black outer pieces.

I ordered these from my local dealer the day you posted this, and they arrived today. Attached a pic for reference.

Do you have to cut the panels to fit the LED's?

Nope. They are OEM.

The stock 17 flat black bits in this area are in 2 pieces, the outer piece is removed and the LED installs in its place. The tS bit is the same shape. I expect it to fit exactly the same.

I think what throws people off about the LEDs is that they look like they exist in the same two dimensional space as the top right of the inner piece. While this is true, they sit outward on the 3rd dimension, over the top of the stock piece. So it's still there, it's just behind a shallow portion of the LED that covers it. Sorry if that's confusing.
