There are few ACE headers out there that cracked. I think the usual cause is too much torsional load which supposedly happens when you pair the header with a cheap aftermarket catback. I am running the CSG Touring catback and the JDL ultra quiet FP. The JDL FP does not use spring-loaded bolts where it connects to the catback. This time, I came up with longer bolts and switched the springs from the OEM bolts.

But in general, I break things. I broke many OEM and aftermarket parts on different platforms. My wife said I should test parts for car and parts manufacturers. And stop breaking her wine glasses.
My wheel is the same way, slightly off to the left. Next alignment I'll have it centered, but besides that I've loved it!

I must have missed those posts on the failures, but I believe you it happens. Hopefully your repair holds up. I'm still interested to hear your thoughts on the hydraulic TOB.

Got an alignment today and the steering wheel is now perfectly straight.

The guys at Gran Turismo East are amazing, they chased down one squeak from the rear which turned out to be one of the RacerX UCA bushings and another clunk in the front from the end links.

I was chilling in the drivers seat while they were doing alignment.

Front, -3.8/-3.9 camber, 0 toe
Rear, -2.9/-3.1 camber, 1/16" toe in

I may go down to -2.5 camber in rear, will take tire temps to see.

All the upcoming HPDE events are cancelled due to the Coronavirus so it will be a while before I can provide feedback on the recent mods.

How is the hydraulic TOB holding up? Does it feel like stock when pressing the clutch. Love the thread!

I still did not have a chance to drive around too much and the car spent the last three months mostly in the garage. But on those rare drives, the clutch feels fine but definitely not like stock. Even with the clutch spring removed, the clutch pedal feels lighter and there is no definitive point at which the clutch engages. It is a weird feeling but I will get used to it.

Welp, the CEL trifecta came back even with the fixed header. Found a damaged MAF wire that rubbed against the accessory belt. Fixed the wire and trimmed the alternator cover so that I can run the MAF wire on top. After several drive cycles no CEL so far and hopefully it stays that way.

Sorta new to the forums and just went through your thread. Awesome progress on the twin! Funny to see that pic of you sitting for the alignment at GTE. That was me like 2 weeks ago lol. Love that place! I'd like to start checking out the local events if I happen to see you I'll certainly say hello.

The CELs came back after a few drives and the next item on the list to address was the o2 sensor. And it worked! Many, many drive cycles and an hpde weekend and the smiles are back.

Before heading back to Road Atlanta, replaced the front rotors with another set of KNS, put Ferodo S13.12 pads all around, and bled with Castrol SRF. It was a long time since I did a track day and the first day with the OS Giken I felt like the rear would get wobbly and unstable in a couple corners, like the diff was redistributing torqe from one side to the other and back before deciding where to settle. Or maybe it was just getting used again to beating the shit out of the car and being smooth or the diff needed to be broken in properly. Whatever the case may be, on day two everything felt back to normal with no drama from the rear of the car. Both days were super hot so no new lap records. The hydraulic TOB kit worked and I guess I am now used to the way it feels.

Maybe now I can finally re-dyno the car with the front pipe and see if it makes any difference.

Got the car re-tuned by Doug, very pleased with the results, e85 content was about 73%. The OEM front pipe was quite a restriction!

A few days ago I came out to a crack in the windshield. Just got a replacement installed and am ready to hit Road Atlanta this weekend.

What's your take on the MCS suspension? How do you like the spring rates?

Very happy with the coilovers. A little bit stiffer than stock setup even on the softest settings but pass the wife test. Cannot really compare them to any other coilover offering out there but they inspire much more confidence at the track than the stock setup. Of course, you need to combine them with stickier tires and race brake pads for full benefit.

You didn't find the 500/500 spring rate too stiff?
This is for track use only, I don't care what it feels like on the street

I have this same suspension on my short list, was just wondering how it felt on the track... didn't find any reviews on it.

Do you feel a difference between clicks?

Thank you!

Standard MCS rates are 550/550. If you add a wing, 550/650. You have Miatas running 700/400 or 800/500. It is all in the valving.

I am not that good to feel a difference between one click, but can definitely feel the difference in car behavior if I go by two clicks.

The car feels solid on the track, lots of mechanical grip, everyone who rides with me compliments how good the car feels. The car is very neutral the way I have it set up.

@Opie; may have further thoughs, I do not remember what suspension he is running, but he may be able to provide a comparison to his setup.
