Thanks, we love it here. Although we won't be able to stay here as long as we’d like. Property taxes, maintenance and up-grades all cost far more than our meager savings and pensions will cover. But we’ll hold out as long as possible. We have a huge variety species from small to very large. Most popular are Walleye (Pickerel), small and large mouth Bass. We have Northern Pike and Muskellunge too but there are very strict size limits so when caught most are returned. There’s Sheepshead, Carp as well as Lake Trout too. The biggest fish I ever saw taken was back about 30 years ago when a guy fishing off the bridge hauled up a Sturgeon that was well over 8 feet long. There used to be lots of Sturgeon but over fishing has taken its toll. When the girls were young we used to fish off the back of our property. Never got anything big as the channel runs on the far side and it is rather shallow on our side. Just as well as well as it meant the girls caught lots of Sun Fish and other similar small varieties. Was great for swimming too. Kids were able to go quite far and it wasn’t over their heads.

My first project with my new work area is the Swiss music box in my teddy bear. It played Brahms lullaby, and I loved it. It hasn't worked since about 1969. I bought another unit, and used the parts. It took quite some time to dial it in till it played perfect. Now I need to find the teeny brass rivets to put the box back together.
Teddy is from 1963. He was heavily played with. I used to take the music box out and hide my stuff in him. Rats or moths ate the felt from around the eyes when he was in my mom's attic. |

If you need another one there may be a sale of Teddy bears soon or I could go down by the river and get you one if there's any left?

"We have a register that tells us what the container contains for every container at the Port of Montreal," a port spokesperson, Renée Larouche, said in an interview. "No hazardous materials are involved. The container contains teddy bears." I guess that means the Port of Montreal just calls up the Sûreté du Québec to announce when they have another dozen containers from Ontario full of stolen Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches and the like, eh?
