Do we have an approximate idea of when 'near future' is? I know, "We'll get there when we get there!". I'm just excited.

oh yess! lol we have kits on the shelf technically for it. although at the moment just used for oil pressure monitoring etc... its there. The kits are the same as the WRX/STI since ecutek added support for can based sensor. and funny enough, the way these plug into the car will be the same.

Hello,

What are my options if I haven't used ECUTek since 2020 but now just realized that I shouldn't update ECUTEK and my old laptop's hard drive failed?

Is there a way to get my hands on a old version of ECUTEK or perhaps a VM image?

Thanks in advance.

if you recover the c:ecutek folder with the old non updated .exe it could just work

if you have no access to it or it s corrupted then no way

Do we have any news on when ECUtek will support flex fuel for gen 1? Feels like it's been 'coming soon' for a while now.

Thanks!

I need to log a few pulls, but have a new laptop. Will re-downloading EcuTek software to the latest version force any EPA updates to my legacy tune that has DTCs disabled for flex fuel if I'm just logging?

yes they released racerom 13 with can I/O
super complicated and without any kind of support or instruction

also they deleted analog hijacking of sensors and cpc output for all the world so any kind of sensor extra or boost controller or flex sensor will stop working and need to be replaced with sensors compatible with OBDII CANBUS and hooked to it

such a pain.

but for you americans it s good anyway, advanced tuners will help with CAN setting up

oh setup is easy as its on gen2 under ecutek. we already have our kits ready for those new people. this tunes exactly as gen2 cars, we even support boost control as well.

for those tuner with your older files this wont affect it. its just for new tunes etc..

yeah we will have "wire only" kits. so you can keep your fuel lines, sensor. and just replace the ECA box with our new one.

we will place the wire kit on the website soon.

Will this affect existing custom RaceROM tunes if we reflash the ECU with the newest ProECU? For example, my Gen 1 currently has a FBM Turbo and FlexFuel kit running an EcuTek tune, so if I try to flash my ECU with one of my other custom EcuTek tunes will the new version or ProECU strip all the FlexFuel maps?

So I’m assuming losing Flex Fuel capability is only on new tunes? Also, can my existing Flex Fuel tune be modified or are all those tables no longer editable on the newest ProECU?
