Camo green plasi dip

I've come to the conclusion that most members here on the forums do NOT like the idea of plasti-dipping their entire cars (wheels/emblems seem to be the exception). I've been going back and forth between getting my fr-s dipped or wrapped..and after seeing dipped cars in real life and how good they look, AND after seeing this camo green dipped s4..i think im convinced! Plus dropping 2 grand + for a wrap is something I don't want to spend my hard earned money on. What do you guys think?

Man I must be old or something because I just don't get this. To me this is just wrecking a perfectly good paint job. Looks horrible and people that do this should be beaten.

Go with Plasti-dip. Its pretty amazing stuff and in my opinion more durable than a wrap plus its like 1/4 the price. I think a lot of people on here dont like it because they have only seen poor examples.

dust and crap will stick to the plastidip and make it look extremely bad. It will only look good (debatable) for a month or two. You can't even wash plastidip properly cause it will peel. You get what you pay for, wrapping is a way better solution.

Already have my rims dipped black And I agree, ive seen a lot of plasti-dipped cars and they look great..I didnt know whether or not if they were dipped or wrapped until I asked the owners of the cars.

I respect the opinions on those who do NOT like it...to each their own i guess! I'm happy with my ultramarine, but after year of having it, I think i'm ready for a temporary change..great thing about it is that it comes right off, and I think i can get it done for a little under $500 bucks..not too shabby.

$400-500 for a full dip on a fr-s sized car..(cheapest would be matte black and more expensive would be matte white because of how much extra paint they would need to use to make it more solid)

Go for it. I like the charcoal grey myself. Doesn't hurt the paint and is pretty durable. Also much cheaper than a wrap. Your money and car, do what you will.

On a positive note, when he's ready to sell his car in the future won't his paint be perfect - no scratches, chips... *shrugs* personally I'm not crazy about the color in the video, I think since it has a matt finish you should go with a deeper/or brighter color.

If done right Anything can look good, but will it look good will be the question...are you planning to do it yourself? Guess post pics when ur done, and good luck.

IMHO for what its worth...if your going to do something do it ONCE. Dont buy something as a placeholder. Dont spend money on something that will get swapped out later. Buying an intake only to get a turbo in a year...WHY? Stuff like that...just spending $$ to spend it on something. If you truely like the color great, but if your doing it just to do it...then I say save your $ and get a real paintjob. Its the first thing people see on your car...a bad paintjob ruins a car.

Who told you that? There's videos from the manufacturer pressure washing it. You're speculating and making stuff up.

You've obviously never used the product or done any research. I dipped the chrome grill on my Tacoma the week after I purchased it in 2010...over the course of 3 years of my ownership, it was pressure washed, scrubbed, sponged, mudded, drug through rocks and all around abused. It washes perfectly fine for what it is. I touched it up once or twice a year to cover any chrome peeking through from chips and debris, but even then there was never any real difference in look between any touch-ups.
