Well, hello again ...... I see you do have more words ....

Ahhhh......yes, many "mods" are to be had for your new machine.

However, I would wait and drive it until the break in period is over before you do any suspension, wheels or performance mods. You may find it to be rather stable and quick, the way it came off the boat.....

Then decide what you want it to do (DD, canyon carver, autoX, track, etc)

If you are going to use as a daily driver plus some spirited adventures out in the countryside, you may wish to look into some different tires; maybe a drop in, free flow air filter (like a K&N) (makes it a bit more responsive); maybe a cat-back or axle back exhaust system (to give it a sports car sound)(a brand called "nameless" has some good options) ..... there, that should get ya started....

I don't live that far from you... but it really depends on what MODs you want. I know a good tint guy to do my tints and clear bra, a good auto body shop that does my paint work, and also a good tire shop for all my tire needs.

Thanks for the welcome. My three boys range in age from 12 to 18. One is gone to college, which is how I justified selling my Lexus IS300 (my 4-door Supra). I've already taken one 800 mile road trip with my 12 year old. He grins almost as wide as I do when riding in the car. I'm pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the car is on long trips.

Yep, we have found the FR-S quite comfortable on long trips (although we have just taken one 2500 mile trip).

Of course, after climbing out of our miata, after 88,000 miles (including several > 5,000 mile trips), almost anything would be more comfortable ....

I'll bet all three of your boys have dibs on your FR-S, after you upgrade to a new, more powerful one, in a couple of years.

Yes of course like I said I'm babying her now and will for long while. The car has some nice power to it. But going from driving a 350z to this I can defiantly feel the difference maybe it'll feel nicer once its done with the break in. I was looking at some k&n air filters is it that noticeable of a difference?

The goal of this car is to a DD rocket bunny v1 with the v2 rocket bunny spoiler. 👍

Really do you know how much he'd charge to tint all my windows or can you PM me his contact info?

I believe so. The only reason I say "believe" is that the air turned cold around here, just when I dropped in the K&N filter ..... so, I'm not sure if it was the filter, the cooler air or the fact that I paid $50 for the filter ..... that made my FR-S seem more responsive and run up quicker at higher rpms....

G'day all,
Just saying hi. Another Toyota 86 owner...well, waiting for delivery. I have on the way a 2014 GTS 6sp manual in Pegasus White, with Aero kit. In the garage I have matt black T-badges, TRD shift knob, Valenti smoked tail lights, GReddy carbon bonnet dampers and a set of 18" XXR527s in matt black. Not due vehicle delivery until March '14, but will be sure to keep lurking and post pics as soon as I can.
Cheers
Jimmy
