You're careless and your dad's an enabler. Take a few.years hiatus from driving and see if your driving improves afterward.

Most people take responsibility for their actions. You appear to.feel no shame for your.foolishness.

You don't have many options because of your lease, which requires not only collision and comprehensive but also higher amounts of liability coverage and lower deductibles. It's the most expensive situation you could be in.

No insurer will touch a driver like you at a reasonable rate because the likelihood that you will cost them a bundle is so high.

In addition, you will pay a surcharge for both the accident and the tickets.

The good news is that most tickets drop off in three years, and accidents in three years as well (sometimes five, depending on the company). DUIs take longer. Every company has its own "look back" policy, so ask.
  • I would find someone to take over my lease, even if you have to kick in money to do so.
  • If you can avoid buying another car, do so. Liability insurance is really what is costing you here. A Scion is only worth $25,000, but if you hurt someone there can be hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake.
  • If you can get by without a car, ask about non-owners car insurance, which should allow you to rent cars and drive others' cars in good conscience. It's not usually expensive, and believe it or not, much cheaper than having a gap in coverage that sets off alarm bells when you go shopping for insurance the next time you buy a car.
Here's a guide to non-owners car insurance.

Time will fix pretty much everything if you're done screwing up. Spend the next few years keeping your driving record and credit clean, maintain some kind of coverage if you can.

Sorry the news isn't better.
This seems like the best option. Have someone take over the lease. You seem to be a very hard working person, you're just not a good/responsible driver.

IMO you should get rid of the car, cut back on your work hours, and focus on school. As fun as cars can be, I rather focus on my future so you can enjoy a great car years from now. Therefore your insurance premium would reduce since those points would be gone by then.

he commented on this 5 days ago wanting to know the price damage because he got in a similar wreck. he seems legit to me. But everybody is correct, you are extremely spoiled and treated to fairly by your parents. You dont appreciate their money or any safety or common sense in the rules of driving. You have the extreme label of the typical kid peeling out of high school acting like a jackass trying to look cool causing more damage and harm then anything else on the road. you are 20 years old and this is your 5th car Im assuming because you wrecked 4 past cars. any other teenage would not get a chance at more cars. If they wreck the first, then they are cut off. I knew a kid same age, 20, and hes on his 4th car because he ****s around to much. He finds it amusing but hes a looser pot head kid.
Not everyone thinks he's trolling.

The music video for "Drive like an Egyptian" would be pure carnage.

Kidding aside, it sounds like you got in way over your head purchasing this car. I'm only 23 myself so I'm not too confident in giving advice. Good luck.

All the other wrecks were very minor..I bought the Trans Am for $2800, got in 3 wrecks and didn't fix it, then sold it for $2500. I don't know anybody else my age who works as hard as I do.

I'm Asian, just as a secret. Its only the old ones (65+) who are bad at driving... but then again most elderly people are pretty bad at driving... at least here anyways lol

I'm going through enough shit as it is. I grew up and realized how stupid I was; I haven't gotten a ticket in almost 2 years. I'm going to read all these posts tonight and make a decision.
sell your car, buy a plane and see how many accidents you are willing to have in that. Then get a car and treat it with the same respect.

I'm 21 and I've hoonded every day in my FR-S for 30k miles. This is also my first RWD car. Have had plenty of track time with my other cars. And have yet to be in an accident I've caused. (only accident I've been in I got rear ended. The driver who hit me wasn't at fault. It was the guy in a 20 ft lariat f-350 who stopped while crossing a 2 lane freeway (70 mph), caused a 7 car pile up and then drove off)

You sir sound like a danger to society. aka a very bad driver.

Do us all a favor and sell the car.
