I just wanted to post to say that if you drive with your phone docked on your dashboard or windshield, there's this nice Android app called AutoBoy that's fairly good, has some nice settings and there's a free version that actually works.
This is just an example video (speed and date are intentionally not displayed) where nothing happens, it's just me driving around in snowy weather. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFhVvtOmZGc"]2013 02 22 11 57 16 - YouTube[/ame] |

If you have not yet bought a car phone holder, I suggest you one without movable parts to reduce oscillations. |

Most of these are made for the Korean and Russian market. So, you will find these sold on the secondary market like ebay or amazon. You can even order from alibaba express or similar sites direct from china, but I would caution against this unless you know what you are doing as it offers very little protection from fraud.
Try dashcamtalk.com for lots of info. I purchased an iTronics from the seller apple-ct on ebay. As far as I can tell there is not one product that is perfect, so you really need to do your own homework and pick the one that is best for you. Hope this helps and good luck to you. Also, I just saw this thread, http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35647 Last edited by Onealpha; 07-31-2013 at 01:10 PM. |

I kinda want a cam now, but I have a remote reciever and ez-pass behind the mirror, as well as a tint strip...not sure where I could mount the camera out of view from me.
I was driving earlier and was waiting for a light and was going straight. There was a guy across in the left turn lane (he got there too late to trigger the turn signal). No one was behind me. The light turned green and I started driving forwards (casually, today is Sunday, nice weather, no traffic) and then the guy decided to gun it and turn in front of me. WTF!?? there was no one behind me. He could have just waited 2 seconds for me to pass. Some people... |

How do those of you who speed feel about a dash cam? I'm a bit hesitant mostly because of this. Granted I didn't buy this car to go insanely fast, but I'd still wonder what could possibly happen.
