Cool - wanna let me borrow them for a few back to back comparison runs on the practice course Friday afternoon? I'm pretty sure Eric Jones has this size as well, but his are a bit older and I would rather compare new to new

I've got this feeling that any tire smaller than a 225 is going to be too far off in terms of performance. These cars may be light weight, but they aren't that light. Just my opinion, though.

I'm planning on being there on Friday, so I'm sure we can work something out. I'm also on the Kosei's so a slightly different offset. Maybe you try mine out, and I can try yours. Just a note, I've been running 215's of the the old Dunlop ZI's since late 2012, which aren't as bad as I would expect.

I'd bring my 225s but I don't think they would fit in the overhead bin.
After seeing that the 225s still bulge on the wheel I kinda wish I would have tried 215 for gearing. It would be interesting to see just how much of the tread is being used. I'm looking forward to the new RS3 compound. Previous tire worked well for me when pinched and without camber. |

Well, it took me 4 events to get the elusive top PAX out of the car. Yesterday had some weather issues with a warm and rainy 1st group and dry/cold 2nd+3rd group, so let's not all run to Rick Ruth and tell him he was right just yet I asked Vivek Goel to come out and codrive with me to help me understand any driving issues that I have. We ended up with a 1-2 finish in the Pro class and in PAX out of 138! The car was set at 38F/32R air, and half turn from stiff front + half turn from soft rear.

I'm definitely a bit more jerky on the wheel than I'd like, plus I'm very jerky on the throttle. I've got some work to do...

You have nearly identical setup to me now haha. My only difference is Im running 33 rear instead of 32 and I'm at 1 full turn in rear, instead of .5.
Same parts other than wheels and catback, same setup. I just need to be faster. Any chance you're coming to Dixie?

No Dixie, but I'll be at the TX tour. CS is 10 deep there already.

I'll be adding a co-drive soon to get us to 11 at least for College Station. 3 of those 11 were in the Houston top 10 PAX from yesterday Houston March PAX Results, with Andy's newly unveiled RX-8 leading that group at 5th overall (not sure why the top pax time shows up as third, timing hiccup I suppose). Hopefully we can all get dialed in for the tour and make it a fun event.
My fastest run from yesterday (sorry for the long intro, my app stopped working before the last run): [ame]http://youtu.be/K65COUFL_E4[/ame] |

So you got a top pax when the weather conditions were worse for everyone else and better for you? Do you want a cookie or something? :p
I think with how you have to drive the STi with more aggressive inputs, it will take some time to smooth things out for the BRZ. But despite your cheater conditions, seems like you're starting to figure it out and I'm sure you'll be just fine by the time it matters. |

I'm not registered either, but if there were more than 2 signed up in CS and if the long range forecast shows something significantly more promising than what we've had here in PA the past few weeks, I'd be REALLY temped to make the 12 hr drive to AR. |
