Lol. That's not fair. Running a supercharged car in a cat and mouse chase. Luckily I didn't do the cruise with you in that car over the meet! :P

Awww don't do that -get mad. We tend to do stupid things when we get mad. Don't push (or exercise) YOUR limits based on the car ahead of you. Be cool, stay cool - we don't want anymore "injuries". Stay within YOUR limits and not anyone else's, always!

A hand full of us frequent these roads privately. And PMok and I do it more often than that. Experience is the key and that's not a trait you can acquire in one afternoon.

Stay cool my brotha' and keep a level head. Always!!!!

Preach on Jessie, preach on. Lol

One thing I learned from riding motorcycle and driving cars in the canyons is that the guy in front of you may look like he is going the same speed but in reality you are the one going faster to catch up to him. Our cars can only handle so much before it gives out and you don't want that to be you because you thought you were going the same speed.

Drive at your own pace. Don't try to follow or catch someone because they are only a few turns a head of you. This is not a race. Enjoy the road.

Yea, on the first leg of the drive to the junction I completely lost everyone in front of me for a good 5-10 minutes cause I wasn't feeling comfortable going around those blind corners along the one-way road. Decided to slow down a bit and be a little more cautious. Couldn't see anyone behind me either so luckily I wasn't holding anyone back >.> Felt much more comfortable on the wider roads.

Coming down from the observatory I totally thought @ijuliusx was right behind you and @PMok... until we came into that opening over the small bridge and didn't see anyone else, lol... If that little SUV didn't slow you guys down I don't think I would've seen either of you again

Ah, the zen masters speak-eth @PMok , Ed and I were talking about this last night. Took me quite a bit of stupidity behind the wheel and riding to gain enough sense of self preservation I have today. I get a bigger kick of being the tail and watching you guys have fun in front of me

For sure. I feel like I am just getting over that myself. Now the only time I push is by myself or with a select few so we can watch for traffic for each other. Group drives I now just cruise. Too many close calls trying to catch up to people ahead, or trying not to hold back those behind you.

If I am not just totally concentrated on myself and what I am doing I dont push it. Now it makes those times mean more because I learn more with that kind of focus. Hard to do that in a group setting. And impossible to do it safetly.

Most of the problems (accidents) ive seen on group drives over the last decade or so were the result of inexperienced drivers entering corners way too hot... and a lot of those were overpowered cars too (not all of them)

I'm finding with the twins its pretty hard to enter a corner too quickly, especially with VSC still on and not being an overpowered car. But of course the sudden oversteer can cause isues with inexperienced drivers and they might overcorrect and spin off a cliff...

I've found the best solution is to have a car up frknt that isn't fast in the straights but plenty fast in the corners, that way any hot dogs who like going umpteen million mph into a corner have to hold off, but everyone still gets to have their fun in the slower speed twisties.
