Piper Camshaft..

what's happening with them??

it's been a while since the product is available, in different stage (fast road, ultimate road, rally and race) and still....

no review at all... no tuning information, no result..

i'm still waiting to see if it will worth to buy these, and i thought there was a hype for aftermarket cam.. but it's been month, and no feedback at all..

I saw that Counterspace Garage got their hands on a set, but still waiting for any feedback..

any news, anybody?

buy a set and test them.

Look at the profiles, cross reference duration and lft to see if any other cams are the same then see what is reviewed about those.

I heard that some people had issues with these cams. Reported to break at the transition of shaft and the cogwheel.
This guy explains it at about 6:30 and onwards [ame]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-NDOKQxjTfk[/ame] (vid is in German). You can also read about it on this (vendor's) site: http://www.buddeautomobile.de/zubeho...motorsport.php (in German as well).

wow... i really don't like that..

here is the "google translate" version of the website..

We have been looking for useless camshafts in the free market for a long time in order to build up a powerful suction engine. At the beginning of 2016 we found waves from a well-known English manufacturer and immediately built a set in our new racing engine. In the first test run (to get a basic tuning) there was a loud bang after 4 hours and the engine stood. Diagnosis: the exhaust shaft of the left cylinder row was broken at the flange, which caused considerable damage to our brand new, expensive racing engine. The camshaft manufacturer spoke of a regrettable individual case and delivered new waves. We put this sentence at the disposal of a well - known racer for his VLN - Subaru BRZ. They actually did a whole VLN race. But in the Friday training before the next VLN-run also here a loud bang with engine-total failure. Diagnosis: Exhaust camshaft of the left cylinder row not only at the flange, but additionally broken in the center of the shaft. This also has a huge damage to the racing engine. We investigated these waves at the very least and found that they were produced from inexpensive sand cast blanks that could not run around and could not withstand the heavy load of the warp drive. The indicated control time absolutely did not correspond with the manufacturer data. This was reason enough to develop its own camshafts. We found a well-known specialist as a partner, who developed 3 different camshaft profiles for various applications on our behalf. The first use of our Stage 1 camshafts on the aforementioned VLN-Subaru BRZ resulted in the victory in the last VLN race in class SP3. In the next few weeks, we are trying to get the stage three racing camshafts to perfect them and deliver them in time for the 2017 season.

I choose to take this as fact.

Wondered why more people didn't use these. Shame they're made of glass.
