My latest issue with Subaru after years of loyalty really did it for me. Those who have good results from their dealers should be thankful because not all dealers are the same. Also, Subaru Canada runs hot and cold with regards to whom, how and when they will help. Just an FYI for those that may run into problems at some point.
Enjoy your cross country romp.
No idea how a double post happened???
As for dealers, lol, I had a MY14 before & got the MY15 because I found out they had sold me a new repainted MY14. Ass hats!!!!
Last week I went for oil change for the Ranger & there was a TSB. They
wanted to charge me when I was under the 5yr warranty.
They wanted to double dip, ass hat dealerships!

The double post is possibly due to the forum being a bit slow, and posting these days here is a bit iffy when you get a few time out issues these days.

I got my BRZ a few years ago just because of guys like him who made me discover that a fun vehicle is still being made for us who still enjoy driving the snot out a car -legally.

You cant get the Honda boy out of me but Subaru have made me think twice on brand loyalty as I have no Issues with Service or warranty work performed till now from them(gas pump replaced, new plugs).

My sister had some minor recurring issues with service from them on her previous Impreza yet still got a Crosstrek for function in her wild west environment or as marketing like to call it ...active lifestyle.

The gas issue (crickets) with Ethanol can be bypassed with a little clockwise turn of the volume knob or even better still with a determined burial to the floor of the right hand pedal.

Hey CB when is that historic 750 going to be back on the road? any recent pics?

By the way S.W. enjoy your 'new' 7 it almost mirrors your 1st name and that’s just super!

Im planning for another two month cross country trek to crash a party in northern BC this summer... So much backroads to get lost in with the BRZ between here and there....

Dude, you must be mistaking me for someone else?
We should go for pizza one day.

Meh. Happens. Many folks don't realize that with a couple extra clicks after the edit button, a post can be deleted altogether.

Glad to see that you're still here!

This forum is like lightening now! I can see how a double post could happen.

Seriously, the speed is back for me.

This forum has been a great resource and I’ve enjoyed using it over the years, even during the years I didn’t have an 86.

However, the past few months, I’ve tried coming on here multiple times just to get errors and am not able to load the page. If the site didn’t have these issues, it would be easier and more compelling to use more often. I hate the fb groups

I'm still kind of here. Just about to hit 60k miles, no real issues besides a P0456 code that was FINALLY fixed after a few years....The gauge cluster looks so empty now without the CEL.

I'm still here...but seems like every time I have something to post, or need to search something the forum is under maintenance....then I forget to come back and do it later...

This week's forum gripe: When you want to research something and keep getting directed from Google here, knowing the answers are here, but the forum is under maintenance for "30 minutes" which means whenever.

I've actually started taking screenshots of the data/posts I need.

Or, you get the “You do not have sufficient privileges to view that page.” If not that one than some other lame a$$ error that means “Yeah, we f*cked up, what are you going to do about it? PUNK!”
Plus it’s not just this week’s gripe? Lots of us have been complaining about that and all the other problems for a long time now. But when every they fix one thing, ten more seem to break. And what’s with all the junk posts getting though?

I’m trying to convince the admins of GR86.òrg to add a subforum for 1st gens in at least the how-to/DIY section so I can start migrating some useful info from this forum. Absolutely vile how the admins have abandoned this place but are still raking in cash from vendor/sponsor fees and the copious advertising.

Ironic that one of the last things the admins of this forum did before abandoning it was add a word filter to prevent users from linking each other to a functional competitor site.

I ran into that a bunch a couple weeks ago. Don’t forget to save the link Ultra has in his sig to the manuals.
