Great project! It is really cool to see you take a car in that condition and turn it around. Whoever painted the panels did a nice job matching the color as well.

Dave-ROR finally got this thing on the track, here's a video he shot at Sebring last weekend in the BRZ rebuilt in this post, it's an entertaining watch...I appear in my rebuilt twin around the 8 minute mark of the video after Dave got frustrated because the Porsche wouldn't give a proper point by to him, so Dave-Ror let me by. We were turning similar lap times until that Porsche Cayman Clubsport GT4 slowed us...watch to the end as Dave almost caught me, it's worth it!

Another Salvage BRZ project. 2015 BRZ Track Car
Man the bumps on T17 almost got him. Good save. Looked like it was going to be a good lap too.

Car: $6,309.54
Rebuild: $2,472.03 Cashback: -$93.21 Total: $8,688.36 Considering his provided breakdown, I would say yes. There are plenty of Copart fees, internet bidding fees, gate fees, then vehicle delivery, from GA to FL, so yes, from $1300 for all of that is what the extras cost on top of the car itself. I did the opposite... picked up an FRS in West Palm Beach and had it shipped to NC. Without all the goodies that we decided to do extra to it ( lowering, carbon fiber accents, ground effects, etc) my car would have been right around the 8500 dollar mark too said and done. Granted its not a BRZ but we were looking for an auto FRS and this one has 25k miles.. but from my previous thread I started looks like needs some engine work too now lol.. so long story short, that is a hell of a deal for that BRZ man! I've been looking actively for 6 months and that one is BY FAR the best bang for the buck for what you picked it up for vs the damage it had. Congrats! |
