I, too, may be in the market for such wheels having sold my RPF1 17x9 +35 wheels.
Something 17x8 with 35~40 offset should be plenty clearance even with high negative camber settings in the front. Also for a flush-er fitment relative to most wheels this size with a higher than 40mm offset. Konig seems to have some in a +40mm in 17x8 wheels flow formed. https://konigwheels.com/wheels/flow-...eels/dekagram/ Really like the look (particularly the detail in the spokes) of these and the price, but they are cast aluminum, and they dont come in 5X100 in the 17x8. Information about weight is unavailable, not that it matters since they dont have the right lug pattern. https://www.avid1wheels.com/wheel-mo...40-hyper-black

I think most of their wheels require spline drive lug nuts. I'm not sure about that but you may want to look into it. I hate fiddling with those things.

I had Superleggeras on my A4. I really liked them. I think the ultras are the replacement for those wheels. They've been around a long time but I have not heard many complaints about them.

http://949racing.com/17x8-6UL-5Lug.aspx Not sure why you want such a low offset, 5mm spacer and slightly longer studs, spacer will be a handling tuning tool if you decide to use the motorsports wheels for motorsports. |

First choice would be 35, but I'd be good with something between 35-40.

I've only had the car for two weeks, so I haven't had the time to look at things like wheel clearances.
How much room is there to the inside and what is the widest tire size I could use with the OEM 48mm offset? Hell, you guys all know way more about the car than I do. What are the recommended offsets for a 17x8 wheel? I went with an 8" as I know I can easily fit anything from a 225 to a 245 on it.

Typically for a car that is lowered 1" a 17x8 +35 offset will get you flush fitment. Here is a thread of the Konig Dekgrams my car is posted on the second page for reference. The Konig Dekagrams i have are 17x8 +40 and im using 245/40/17 tires and i really dont think the tire looks pinched it looks fine. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...=134664&page=2 Last edited by Vital; 04-14-2021 at 10:22 AM. |

Same, had ultralegerras on my TT from 2007-2010. Great light wheels, can shrug off a decent pothole. Pain to clean though. |

Yes, I bought a car with 245s on 8” wheels once. On center steering was awful cause the tire was flopping back and forth on the wheels. Switched to 235s and it was fixed. |

Throw in that I honestly do not know that I will ever go beyond a 225 and a 9 inch wheel just does not make sense for me. I'd love to just say screw it and get another set of ARC-8s, but they do not make sense for me.
