I don't know how Subaru does it, but on Toyota with the cam caps you only put a dab in the corners near the parting line between the two. Having a big line of FIPG going half way across is wrong. That oil pump pickup screen doesn't look that blocked IMO. I'd worry more about what was in the oil.
Edit. I'm surprised if its an oil pressure problem that nobody is getting and oil pressure idiot light. Granted usually when you see it you're screwed... |

It's not that it's clogged now. But that it likely could have been, and they're vehement about the fact that this couldn't have been caused by packing. If it's in one spot, it's in other spots.. I have a headache just being ready to make my next phone call at 8:15 tomorrow morning

I don't think it works. I removed my OEM pressure sender and put my aftermarket temp sender in it's place. No light, and I can still see my temp on my OFT and on torque so I know didn't remove the temp sender instead.

The oem oil pressure sender is just a switch, either on or off. It doesnt actually send a variable signal. It doesnt get sent to ecu or can buss jist sjist simply trips the light on dash for no oil pressure , at some very small pressure like 3 psi, basicly indicates complete lack of oil pressure by which time its generally too late |

It’s probably an open circuit by default and closes when the pressure is low. So removing it wouldn’t cause the light to come on. I doubt they would put a fake sensor on the car. |

Look, sometimes on a big job I can get... cluttered... too, but that work space, for that job, in that setting, is disgusting.
Nevermind the huge globs of sealant poking out from everywhere. Even if he cleaned up the critical mistake, if corporate sees that was the standard at which the guy operated, it's clear he paid no attention to the instructions. |

Does anyone know if Subaru dealers will accept FR-S for the recall?
I'd prefer they work on mine than the Toyota Techs which seem to be a good part of the issue. |

I'm sure you could pay them to do it, but a Subaru dealership is not going to honor a Toyota-issued recall which is what you have if you own a Scion. It'd be BIG bucks to have them do it, and it'd be way more fun and more cost effective to just drive your car and trust that it'll probably be fine.
