My friend loves mine, so I let her drive it frequently and I'll drive my Tacoma or her Camaro SS. Back when I first got it, we took her pups to the river and went swimming, then to dinner. I let her drive the car and took hers when we left the park. We got to the place and she got out smiling like crazy and said "Sorry not sorry, your seat is all wet." and I was like "Well yeah, we went swimming..I probably got your seat wet too." and she goes "Yeah, it's not from the river."

BUT THEN this morning on my way to work I had a guy literally chase me down through traffic and then try and run me off the road while screaming I'm a piece of shit and I drive a pu$$y car and that if I ever drove near his house, he'd murder me. It was super cool...

Mostly I just get random stares, and the occasional "nice car", but otherwise I'm not really paying enough attention to care

about 30% to 40% of the random ones I see driving around are driven by "girls".
Many of those "girls" are well into their 50s or 60s.
It is not an exclusive male club or anything just rare that the ladies hang out on forums or car meets. They are too busy driving and enjoying their cars for such things.

Oh and for the record the Lava used to get very frequent comments from females of all ages. The Hakone probably gets twice as many. It is all in the colour.

hmmmmm....... so the pups peed on your seats -

I suggest you take a different route to work, cause you sure as hell aren't going to be able to outrun him -

Pups were with me in her Camaro so she could really get on the BRZ

I mean, I think mine (SC'ed) would stand somewhat of a chance against a 2005 Lexus ES300 lol. But after me ignoring him and then him trying to run me off the road, that's where I drew the line. I just gave him a friendly wave with my CZ in hand and he decided to leave me alone

by grabbing it from the door card, pointing at the sky and waving while smiling.

Think of the wave and smile they do while sitting on the back of the convertible in a parade, but just holding a CZ while doing it

Seems to be younger girls which does me no good now that I'm married and in my 30s. Wish I owned the car 10 years ago.

Or having the cops show up later asking about someone brandishing a weapon...

I have my conceal carry license and all my ducks in a row. If it came down to it, I wouldn't hesitate to protect myself or loved ones and trying to run me off the road while screaming I'll murder you is definitely a great way to get shot at too

Like I said - I've got all my ducks in a row and being threatened for just driving my car to work seems to be a legit enough reason to show my hand (pun intended)

Part 1:

My car was just about a month old last spring, and already working on the first 4K KM, Was on another road trip with my baby sister who was 59 Yrs old visiting her 2 brothers(both BRZ owners) out east. On the highway getting back close to home I let her drive some till the gas would force the required Gas/Food/Purge stop.

She noted there was a car following her for sometime and thought if strange it had slowed to our pace as it came up to us quite a bit faster. I’m absorbed with the music playing sitting cosy low on my side. Sis said it is finally going to pass. An old Seven gen CiViC with 3 younger girls hanging out the windows very slowly passing & were waving frantically with approval… at us.

My sister looked at me and said See they were impressed an old grey haired grandma can still have one of these…

Part 2:

I managed to make it way out west as well later last year with the BRZ, Got to my sister’s place and her daughter somehow liked the color a LOT and asked if she could practice her manual skills and since we had to pick someone at the airport anyhow, so I passed her the Key fob, she promptly stalled if a few times with a smile on her face, finally caught on to rev some as it was not her moms CrossTreck & took off with quite the wheel spin. She is normally the preferred driver for the large RED Fire trucks around her town up in northern BC as the guys are just not as good with the equipment, so I forgave her.

Last tine I had girls or anyone wave at me for a car was back in 1983 driving like gramps slow in a brand new Prelude I had just picked up…
