Zero alcohol in that fridge. The owner is a non-drinker. Lots of redbull, water and such.

1991 MR2 n/a-->turbo swap

??? miles

i do almost everything, but i don't feel like dropping the fuel tank with the car on jack stands, so i'm gonna have a shop do that. then i'll try to find a competent tuner (more so than i am, and i'm not really that bad) to get a good solid tune on the AEM.

2006 Tacoma

140,000 miles

i do most stuff, but i have no problem taking it to the dealership when i'm feeling lazy.

1990 240sx

??? miles

everything so far. the only thing i might have a shop do is the alignment and tires.

i'm ASE master certified, so i could do everything to anything, except i don't feel like it, haha. i do what i want!

I have done some light work myself, oil changes, brakes, some engine/ suspension mods. It hasn't needed anything serious yet since its pretty new but I wouldn't do an alignment myself or tire fitting.

I do the regular maintenance and the stereo install but left the other stuff like suspension work and belts to the shop. Too lazy and the Taco really doesn't require much.

Focus is on the bikes, I'd rather work on those.

I do anything and everything to my car
Pretty much sums it up. I don't balance my own tires but other than things requiring special tools like tires, I do most everything myself. A modern car is not too complicated once you are familiar with the basics. Plus I have some technical knowledge of computers and it translates adequately for mechanical electronics.

That said I would make a horrible "professional" mechanic. I'm not even an acceptable shade tree mechanic. My confidence at my skills is only exceeded by the complete confusion I have when it comes to actually solving mechanical problems.

I even do some work on other people's cars. Which is a bad idea and I recommend never doing that unless they have absolutely no choice. If they had the money I would tell family/friends to pay for the mechanic or enjoy some walking.
