so "slide control" and "high power" could one say being able to control a drift at high speeds?

about time!

about time.

best news i have seen so far this year.

yet, what are the chances a this fine machine will come to the states with a reasonable price tag?

i think of myself as a toyota die hard but cannot find any praise for anything the company has put out since the 80's other than the supra.

to sum it up. THANK YOU TOYOTA FOR FINALY GETTING YOUR HEADS OUT OF A****SES AND BUILDING SOMETHING WE WANT TO DRIVE NOT HAVE TO DRIVE.

Lose all the CF, body kit, wing, etc.
Keep the turbo, 6speed, LSD.

Here's a blank check Toyota!

Dear god, this concept is perfection! I like everything on it! On the most cars i can find something disturbing, either the back, the front, the side, the interieur... but its perfect from any angle

I thought the normal ft86 is fantastic, but thats insane

some additional reported info. of the G-Sports height lowering:

Quote:
Power comes from Subaru’s 2.0-L, 4-cylinder Boxer , which has been given a turbo boost. Specs are not yet known, although there is speculation that it could share similar numbers with the Boxer found in Japan’s Limited Impreza R205. Ride height has been lowered by 30mm, compared to the original FT-86, and grip is provided by a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE050s on 19″ rims.

The car's debut marks the introduction of the "G Sports" badge. Toyota plans to use the badge in a series of cars modified by motorsports firm Gazoo Racing to be released only in Japan.

One upgrade on the car was the addition of a turbocharger to the Subaru-made 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine. Body modifications include a wider, and smoothed-out front bumper that leads to wider wheel arches. A new front spoiler can also be seen at the bottom. The car's hood, now with air vents, is made from carbon fiber.

The car has a new rear spoiler sitting on top of the decklid, which now includes a new strip of lighting. The rear bumper is more squared off, with a diffuser that brings the dual exhaust pipes to the center. This concept sits on 19-inch alloy wheels wearing Potenza high-performance tires. Recaro seats round off the package.

My guess is that the production car and any production version goodies for it will still wear the TRD badge.
