I get that. My wife's Impreza rides so much better than the 86. Just glides over rough roads.

It's even worse when I drive on the RS4s, sidewall has zero give. I can hardly wait to put the ecs02s back on

RS4s mounted on new wheels.. turns out there was a Mixup with sizes on my stock wheels none of us caught. 225 and 215s mix.

Ordering 225s to match and will be selling 215s as a full set cheap to somebody who wants them.

I managed to find a new unpainted Modellista antenna last month and spent quite a while translating its instructions. It's currently at the shop this week to install that and to fix some minor issues.

Found this $30 Aliexpress shift knob that’s similar to the BRZ TS oem red one with the exception that the leather on this cheapo one has a grainy texture instead of a smooth nappa leather. Decided to paint the silver bits all black.

I tried wrapping it instead, but my vinyl wrapping skills are lacking. We’ll see how long this paint lasts.

EDIT:
I ordered the same shift knob but from a different Aliexpress seller "Vivid" and it's completely lower quality. Leather is worse, and the knob is lighter. The better shift knob is from "Five Phases".

Got to use my jack today.
Heard this loud bang, bang, bang while passing a tire shop, pulled over and had a huge 6 in screw sticking out of my right rear tire. It would bash into the wheelwell, sounded like the fender was falling off. So I jacked up the car with the POS OEM jack and replaced it with the spare. Putting the lugnuts on I noticed they were a little rough just about ready to seize like FR-S lugstuds do.
Started driving home. 15 miles away. Didn't take long for all the dash lights to come on to remind me not to put the spare on the rear. Pulled over in the middle of nowhere to swap right rear spare with front right tire. My idea was to jack up the car in the middle to lift the front and rear right off the ground. Not easy with the POS OEM jack but I did it. First went to remove the front but the lugnuts were bigger and didn't fit the wrench. OK, on to plan B. Put the wheel with the flat under the right side of the car to keep it jacked up and moved the jack to the left side. Went to remove the lugnuts from the spare and THE FIRST One was seized. That's it, nowhere to go from here. Put my flashers on and drove home at 45 mph. Went to remove the spare and 2 of the lugnuts were siezed. Cut them off with a minigrinder cutoff wheel Now I'm thinking of replacing all the studs that haven't seize yet, because they will.
Had this car for over ten years now and the only real obvious defects are the TOB and the lugstuds. But hey, it could be much worse. I coulda bought a VW.

Amen to that! Much to my chagrin, my son-in-law just bought a 2004 mini cooper s. Spent the whole day yesterday confirming my suspicions about BMW products firsthand. OMFG...

Your lucky. Could have been a Rover. Makes BMW seem reliable.
