Curious, for autocross use would these be fine? I've been saving for KW v3, but the more I think about it the more I've come to realize I will be DDing more than autocrossing and probably wouldn't really need the higher quality shock.

this thread is proof that we need a "not sure if troll" or "fail" button in addition to the "thanks"

They're really responsive and give a smooth ride (a somewhat stiff ride).
Being said I did slam the car for performance and looks, to reduce body roll make a very low center of gravity. I don't know much about coils but from owning serveral coils, FEAL, function and form. I would rate these very well. It also depends on your application.
so you place high on the HPDE/Autocross totem pole in your area with a slammed ride?

you need to keep in mind that low centers of gravity and stiff rides won't help you when your tire isn't keeping up with the pavement because the suspension has no room to actually function.

I've never done any autocross with this suspension yet. But I have done some canyon runs. Depending on speed, amount of braking and corner angle these do have their flaws. I'm simply stating that these coils are good for one that wants to drift, since they're geared torwards that. Sorry if I had offended you in a way.

Offended, no

but canyon runs are very subjective, and a stock car will most certainly perform better on the bumpy roads than a slammed ride with no ability to absorb said bumps.

an autocross/hpde day is a sure way to find out how your car stacks against the competition and to see what sort of suspensions work and which don't.

you won't find any slammed guys at the front of the pack

my first AE86 was "slammed" and i got a trophy at qualcomm autoX for fastest novice time of the day. and that was on nearly bald tires i was drifting on the day before that.

its all about skill, not so much equipment.

that said, PBM is getting my money. (well, more of it i guess lol)

Is that because you don't have any concrete proof to prove him wrong?
