BRZ wheels on Forester XT

In case anyone wants to see what the BRZ OEM rims look like on another Subaru with the same bolt pattern and offset, here is the result of my experiment putting them on a 2004 Forester XT to replace my stock 16's......thanks to a great seller on this forum.

My backup plan if I didn't like the outcome was to powdercoat gunmetal (similar to OEM WRX rims). But I absolutely love the result. As many have said, these rims tend to look better in person and grow on you over time. The aspen white color and tie in with other gray/black/polished trim (e.g tint, rear hatch trim, grill, C pillar, etc) helps, as do the 225/55 Falken 912's and Swift springs that lower the car about 1.5 inches - gives nice full wheel wells. The blue logo centre caps are way cool.

How well a rim suits a car is obviously a really subjective thing. Just thought this might help folks trying to sell take offs to Subaru owners.

Anyone know of other Foresters on BRZ rims?

makes me miss my old fxt. I think that looks pretty good but would look a lot better with the wheels a single color.

Cost was a factor. New wheels+tires were well under a grand, and only about $200 net after I sold my stock set. There aren't many OEM Subaru 17" 48 offset wheels that look better than XT stock rims. I was looking for a set of 2008 Forester XT Sports rims (enkei, STi branded) but nothing showed up on forum classifieds. I have S4 18" rims on my other car - A3 TDI - the XT now looks just as good.....and is a whole lot more fun to drive (would swap the A3 for a BRZ in a heartbeat, but not enough space for carseats and kid paraphernalia).

One bonus of BRZ rims - they look great spinning on a dyno.

I was going to say the same thing. Those wheels almost look like they were designed for the Forester.

Meh, looks okay I guess, but I'm fine the look of OEM wheels on my BRZ.

I'm doing the opposite though - my BRZ winter rubber is going on to a set of 04 XT 16" rims. They were beat-up though, so now they are black

I ran that year FXT 16" wheels on my WRX last winter! BRZ gets OEM wheels with leftover winter tires from my WRX's 17" setup.

Looks good. Not sure if I'll ever put my BRZ wheels on our '07 FXT, but I might someday. I went the other way, the 17" Kosei K1 TS wheels that I have on my BRZ now were on my Forester for about two years before I swapped them onto my BRZ (with new Star Specs). I decided the BRZ needed lightweight wheels more than the FXT did.

A set of winter tires I had last year on spec.b went to my wife. They have subaru TPMS sensors in, and I'm too greedy to pay to mount/dismount tires just to install sensors.

My new winter set up is Continental ExtremeWinterContact on silver 16" Enkei EDR9 's in stock 215/60 size. Will post a pic for contrast when they go on next week. Was formerly running Nokian WRG2 year round on stock 16" XT rims.
