First 1k miles mine looked like that. It's factory shaving from tight tolerance.

On mine had shaving as well at 15k. I think I will change it out again, my transmission was fine though.

If you want to prove your point, then get some pics and show us the damage to your differential. It sounds like your dealer is just getting paid for some warranty work to replace your differential. Having some metal shavings on the diff plug is normal. This thread isn't urgent, and the sky isn't falling.
