Took 14 months and 4 days from purchase to delivery. CARB certification/legalization sucks.

Hly…. 14 months?!! I thought most vehicles already come with a CARB cert and basically ready to go.

Nope. Process only starts when a Cali buyer is buying and registering the car in state. Stupid expensive too.

That was my next thing, I was thinking of CA laws. For me, if ever able, would be getting the car here since laws in CT are a little less restrictive, if it was coming from say, Washington where I usually look at JDM imports. Would love an R32. I would even settle for a 240/180SX lol.

If that importer starts with RHD and ends with Specialties, I'd stay clear of them. Lots of horrible stories about them.. At this point, I'd rather get another car from the same place I got my R32 from. You should look at Craftsports in Florida. I know their Japan location is one of, if not the biggest Skyline sellers.

Also, if CT isn't a CARB following state, you shouldn't have to do anything extra to get your JDM car registered.

Important to know that many states are starting to deny and repeal plates for imported cars based on them not meeting american emissions or safety standards. All kei cars now, but with so much forbidden fruit hanging from the vines, it's only a matter of time I feel...

TWIL (This Week I Learned) having R doglegged next to 1 makes driving extremely difficult without the lock-out plate in place.

Is a goal to get a JDM on my garage. Im sure I’d do fine with just one kidney, right.

Today I was reminded that I tend to get more nervous when performing an interview than if I'm being interviewed. Thankfully I chill out about 2 seconds in when I remember we're all just a bunch of nerds, and everyone is socially awkward.
