@whaap I had the same problem but was looking at car mats. Have a look at household rubber mats and I think you'll have more luck.

Thanks for the DIY - I did something similar tonight with a cheap set of rubber mats.

Where it was wearing out:

Cheap set of mats from Advance Auto Parts:

Cut out the existing heel pad:

Velcro on the back:

Heel pad on mat:

Installed:

It's not the prettiest thing ever, but it works. The best part is if it's off by a little bit, you can just relocate it since it's Velcro.

Another option is to remove the FRS and the 86 badge and insert the piston emblems, really looks cool in my opinion with the silver red.

Hey Ryan86 how and where did you get the rubber piece on your floor
mat? I also notice that you have stitching on there? Thanks for the help!

Look for car mats manufacturers in your city, take your mats to them and ask to stitch a heel pad onto your mat. Red Cotten is easy to locate...

Just an FYI. I cannot find ANY velcro that will attach to the BRZ mats. This means it will need to be sewn on. Just a heads up that's all. I have spent over 30 dollars on different vecro and have had no luck. Time to return some haha.

You should find some easy. Remember it is just the hook part with sticky on the back of the heel pad. Don't try and stick the Velcro to the mat. Here the mats are virtually the same from BRZ and 86 and all the sticky Velcro works so not sure what you're trying.

Stick the hook part to the back of your new rubber heel pad and the mat acts like the fluffy part as you press it onto it.

no trust me I am doing the sticky on the rubber, hook side on the mat. The mats here in the US do not stick to velcro. I even got some heavy duty hook and it started to grab but was no where near like the 86/FRS mats.

Found a source for free heel pad material. It's not rubber but should work just as good. If it wears out, get more for free!

Look at Home Depot in the carpet section. They have squares of free samples in many colors and materials. 2 squares should make a decent pad.

Here's mine
