ST coilovers noise

me and a friend installed my ST coilovers yesterday and ive been hearing clunking noise on rough roads. Like metal to metal type of clunk.
I had a mechanic tighten the front and rear top bolts with an air impact wrench which i think fixed the front clunk noise.
Rear clunk noise is still there tho. We tightened all the bolts on the LCAs (total of 8). Also we used the stock rubber ring and im not sure if were supposed to but it helped lessen the clunk noise.
Any idea what is causing the clunk? Thanks in advance

Update: only the left rear is clunking on rough roads. I think the top nut needs a little bit more tightening.
Im just wondering what kind of tool people use to tighten them other than an air impact wrench.

I've had mine for a couple days now but thankfully I had no clunking issues yet. I'm not sure what's the problem but I hope you get it fixed soon buddy.

Try to avoid using an impact on the top nuts, it's not good for the seals. A pass through socket set it the way to go. Also did you have the car on it's wheels when you tightened the rear control arms?

I might buy me a set of those kinds of socket. We did try tightening them again when we dropped the car down but ill try it again. Thanks

The ride is pretty good. Afaik, the spring rates are the closest to oem compared to other entry level coils (<$1k).
