Anyone has pics of the wiring to do this style?

bump to see if anyone figure out how to rewire the triangle to only light up and blink 3 times when you hit the brakes. Don't want the triangle to be on with the parking lights.

I don't know much about wiring, but I did not see the need to solder the cut Blue wire to the ModBargains provided Blue wire and then solder that to the Single Red wire, so I left it alone, and it seems to be working fine - again though, I am not an electrician by any stretch of the imagination!

For those of you that have Green and Green/Yellow wires instead of the Blue, Red, Yellow, and Black wires for your taillights, here's how I did mine, with Blue to Green and Red to Red:

Turned out great!

Note: while this works, it seems like you give up the F1 function for the chance to use the light bar and the triangle separately, one as a brake and the other as a parking light. @Phaedrus29 has indicated in this post that it might still be able work though!

I notice you have TOMs tails installed...I'm about to install the reverse bar tonight probably but all the DIYs are with valenti tails installed so I'm guessing a few of the steps (wire colors) will be different...

Can you link me an accurate step-by-step DIY/video that does it with TOMs tails? Or can you provide me the steps you took?

Anyone have a picture of the wiring inside the housing with the LED triangle retaining it's 3 flashing mode when the brakes depressed? I want exactly the way the OP has it setup but with the triple flashing included with the braking.

Since no one wanted to help. I figured it out with a help of a friend. I believe this is what most people want the setup to be like. With the flashing built-in.

I ended up having to figure out the wiring myself but thanks to raytrix's video I had to do this to my friends car. I used the OPs instructions for reference.

V on with headlights
LED triangle lights up when brake is depressed with flashing
Reverse- no changes

Instructions:

1. Remove 10 phillips screws from the back of the light.

2. You will see a dark blue wire connecting the V to the LED triangle

3. Remove the Blue and Red wire from where it is connected to the Triangle by either cutting or desoldering it.

4. Solder the Blue and Red wires together. Then cover exposed wire with electrical tape or heatshrink tubing.

5. Now solder a new wire from the Triangle to the Orange/Black Wire.

6. Check your work. Make sure there are no loose connections and test it out.

7. Reassemble fully and have a beer. You earned it.

How's it annoying? the lower V isn't blinding or anything. Same thing as driving around during the day time with low beam on... not required by law but I think it makes cars more aware of your presence (kinda like DRLs).

The lower V isn't a fog light. I'm talking about the actual fog light that is 3 times brighter then your normal tail lights (about the same as brake lights).

Does anyone know how to the wiring so that the triangle left as the fog light but the V-shaped light turns on when the headlights are on (together with the taillights)?
