OP, you say you want to track the car. Have you ever been on track before? If you're a beginner the stock brakes with upgraded pads and fluid are more than enough, then you can add ducting.

The stock brakes will be plenty until you reach the point of HPDE 4 and/or Hoosiers and/or more HP and/or aero. Unless you're going every other weekend at which point the cheaper consumables make sense.

Oh wow I didn't know about that for street driving, I'm gonna go to the track often I'm beginner with the brz but I'm coming from a s2000

What break you recommend since wilwood won't be the best , because I'm gonna daily the car as well

Also, it’s sort of hard to fathom that a big brake aficionado such as yourself has never heard of AP Racing, one of the THE BIGGEST names in brakes.

i think you need to get on the track first, with the car in stock form.

you're throwing money at a possible future problems. which is a waste of money until you've come to the point of proving that it's an actual problem.

same with everything else on the car. get to know the car, the chassis, the platform first. then start tweaking where you've found it lacks for your individual style. i think you'll find that the stock setup is very well put together, and only minimal tweaks like brake fluid and pad compound will get you very far into what you're looking for.

another critical consideration is that track driving and street driving are drastically different styles. most guy's will run 2 different sets of tires, and 2 different sets of brake compounds. specifically because track tires wear too fast for the street, and track brakes have a different heat range that makes them unacceptable for standard, low-use street driving.

I can see being critical of the OP, but there are those of us that can use and appreciate real racing brakes on the track.
I doubt there was this outcry in 2017 when BRZ offered the Performance Package brakes. What's wrong with wanting it now, when the second gen car has more power?

In all my effort to find a brake package I keep running into BBK's for only the front or no adapter yet for the front. When I'm at the track I want to be able to easily change pads. I have spent big bucks on light, 17" wheels, racing tires, racing coilovers and suspension pieces so I don't want any heavy slider brakes! I have a wing and I'm building the splitter.
Perhaps I'm a bit sensitive about this as I got dragged already by a FB group about this subject (why do you need better brakes) and I see some giving others a hard time in this thread. With the right tires, pads and aero I'm sure you can overpower the stock brakes. We have little rotors and no cooling except for vented backing plates in front and vented rotors.

As I see it, AP does not have a mid-level BBK front and rear combo. Nor does Stoptech seem to have anything. I don't think Brembo does either or I'm talking to the wrong people. I'm okay with the PP/STI Brembo rears, but I want floating rotors in the rear as well as front and I don't want "heavy" rotors. If I sound frustrated, I am.

with the drum brake parking brake, i don't think anyone ever offered a floating disc in the rear for the last gen.

i know there's some mounting brackets that have floated around on ebay for adding a second caliper to the rear disc for the 'drift guys' to add a hydraulic rear dig caliper that could be repurposed for parking brake duties. but it was never an official brand/source...

come to think of it, the previous gen had some brake mods that mixed parts from the wrx and wrx sti. could investigate if anything is available that you're looking for for that vehicle, and then it's just a matter of figuring out bracketry to mount them up.

Girodisc has them for the PP Brembo's rear and front. I have them on the rear of my STI and they are great.

Our rear brakes don't overheat, are small (read: lightweight), effective, and cheap. In my experience the accomplish the task very well. I don't see a problem that needs a solution.

Should be able to re-use parts from the last gen then. Biggest difference in the AP racing thread was the front knuckles had a small clearancing bump on the new bracket. Something most could fix with 2minutes and a grinder

Those are Superlite 6-piston front 4- piston rear with 325mm rotors.
And they use the stock parking brake. Seems like a very nice set-up to me.

Don't think the fronts will fit the aluminum front knuckles though.
