Do you know what sized pistons are used in GT rears ? Just wondering if GT fronts can be used with PP/STI rears since disc sizes are the same for both GT/PP rears.

I don't. Didn't look a lot into GT rears since I don't plan on buying them.

Some forum posts say 40mm for PP rears, but I don't have any definitive info like a spec sheet or image of measurement

Well I do have a set of STI rears laying on shelf. Just wondering If i could install them along with larger discs next time my rears are in need of replacing

does someone have measurements for the width of the PP caliper as well as the width of the 1P-.8002A- GT calipers? just curious how much thicker the GT is in comparison since the FTSpeed video mentioned the GT was thicker than the PP calipers

326mm GT poke about 3mm more than the PP.

Don't know how width compares, but the mounting method is different too

There are templates available for the kit

Thanks! will try out template once i remove my winter wheels so i can measure the inside with it. I know the ptr2018160bk wheels are confirmed to fit PP brembos but not sure if the clearance is so tight that the added thickness of the GT calipers would make it not fit.

Yeah it may be tight. Both of my current wheel sets fit with PP Brembos, but I've needed to get a set of 3mm spacers to make them work with GT Brembos

I also put the GT template on a PP spare wheel, and it also needs a 3mm spacer to work

They're the right PNs .
If someone ever wondered here are corresponding Toyota PNs:
SU00306803
SU00306804

From my experience it was easier to source them through Toyota dealership.

Just found this old thread. Interesting read!

For a more focused thread that doesn't (yet? ) have an off-topic holy war between AP Racing and CSG about which non-PP kit is better, check out https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144662. Has most part numbers in the first post, and should be better for quick look-ups.

It's been a while, but I did order and install the ducts from Subaru and they were the correct ones

Clip, sort of? At least for the fronts. However they don't grip tightly. There is only a c-shaped hanger that holds it to the top. The fit is loose and they flop off the pad pretty easily if they aren't installed in the caliper

I don't have any experience with the rears

Here is a full list of the parts.

Note the front shield change is not needed and you can just cut the rear shield, which saves disassembling other things too.

It seems like the calipers are either far more expensive or just not available outside the US, even in Japan. I think I'll have to get the calipers, Posi-Quiet pads and centric front hardware kit from the US, get Brembo rotors locally and buy everything else from Japan. Subaru seems cheaper than Toyota for all parts.

For you lucky people in the USA, you can easily buy Centric Parts stuff so if you want a cheaper alternative, buying the following items means you don't need to buy the genuine pins, clips or springs:

Posi-Quiet ceramic front pads 105.10010
Centric Parts front hardware kit 117.47018
Posi-Quiet ceramic rear pads with hardware 105.09610

I thought the Toyota, Brembo and DBA PNs might come in handy as well as clarification of the shields and Centric hardware for those that don't know which pieces that the Centric hardware kits replace and that rear pads can be purchased including hardware. Also I left the repair kits out of my list.
