Organized our local FT86 club Fall cruise. Worked with a local garage/race shop bad habit garage that is Active calabogie motorsports park who arranged a parade lap for everyone attending.

27 cars total showed up which is always fantastic to see. Took scenic backroads up to the track, parade lap, then bad habit and CMP offered passenger rides to people to experience the track at pace.

LS swapped race car

Last organized track event of the year at calabogie motorsports park. I was finally able to make time to get my solo sign off. Should give me more opportunities to track next year

Car performed pretty well, wasn't a fan of 225/45 RS4 on stock wheels. Ordered a set of circuit csf1 17x9 +35s and will swap the tires over for next season.
Ended up doing three 30 minute sessions with half hour between each. skipped the last two sessions to persevere the car and let it cool down.

Nice shot from local photographer corner2collective

Picked up CSF1s from the border, then immediately ceramic coated them in the garage. Now to decide whether to run these or RPF1 for track duty. SBC coating is a bit rough.

Couldn't resist a sale, RCE SS1s ready to install. Thanks Andrew for coilover covers!
Also bought a gently used mishimoto thermostatic oil cooler, and have a 200F thermostat to swap in. Probably won't be til March once snow goes away and temps come up

Swapped in oem pads a while back and sold both sets of hawk 5.0 and HP+ pads.
Ordered endless MX72 plus to try out. Not sure if I'll run them year round, may just swap them in when I want to do some light lapping sessions. Want a pad that won't eat rotors daily driving, doubt I'll find anything as good as OEM for the job.

You could try TRD pads

Installed fresh OEM rear mounts and adjusted collars to base spec as per @Racecomp Engineering recommendation.
I've contemplated tossing them on despite Ottawa winter but thinking I'll wait a bit longer.

Not a bad idea. Curious if the GR spec pads fit the bill as well.

Out with the old.. Need to find tune ride height once it settles. Currently 1.5" drop, aiming for 1.25".

I'm happy with the upgrade, the car is slightly less comfortable on typical less than ideal road surfaces vs yellow/B6 which doesnt surprise me. More spring rate+ camber plates will be a trade off.

Yesterday it was corner balanced and aligned. Still have winter tires on so I can only get an idea of how the car behaves with low grip threshold but chassis is very predictable when I've had a chance to load up suspension on some favorite corners near my place. Went two clicks softer than rce base street settings to deal with our destroyed roads from a cold winter. Will revisit once I get my RPF1s back on in a few weeks.

Booked track day on the 12th at Shannonville. In preparation did pads, rotors, fluid and OEM lines. Went with endless MX72+.

Swapped my enkeis back on as weather is decent for next week or so. Roads are still cold but got a feel for suspension setup. Car is feeling hooked up.

Track day on Saturday was a success. We were the first event of the year, track was very green and the day starting off cold(3c) and wet. Drifted corner 2 doing 55kmh on my outing lap .

The track was mostly dry by the afternoon sessions and speeds and grip were much better to test out new setup. Car was extremely predictable and managed a 2:05 which I'm told is decent, considering felt mostly like a shakedown day learning track and the car.

Hired a on track photographer at the event who took some fantastic shots. Links below for more pics
