Clear the usual check engine codes via Torque, and the dash light will go away. |

Does anyone know if the U0155 code can be triggered by bumping something under the dash?
NC requires yearly inspections. Twice now the same tech at one of the local inspection places has failed me for a CEL when I know the car did not have a CEL when I brought it in. The first time was a few years ago. I took it to the mechanic that time but I don't know what code it was. This time I used a reader to get the code and it was U0155. I suspect this guy doesn't know how to drive stick and is kicking something under the dash, causing this CEL. Car is a 2015 FR-S |

it s usually caused by some obd device, you should be good deleting it and then remove everything during startup

This is a weird one. I took it to a mechanic who checked the car, cleared the code and told me to drive it for 100+ miles and bring it back for re-inspection.
I took it back today, he hooked it to his code reader which said there were no codes, but as soon as he hooked it to the state inspection equipment it said there was a code again. Not only that but it turned on a bunch of dash lights. ABS and a couple others in addition to the CEL. Turning the car off and back on cleared all the lights except the CEL. I've been in NC for 8 years now and this is the first time it's behaved like this. The last time the state inspection said there was a code, just having it cleared and driving for a while made it pass the next time. |
