I do not know what to believe. I've read and watched dozens of obviously AI generated or enhanced articles and videos. Everything from a Turbo to AWD. This video is the closest to what I hope the 2025 will really look like.

2025 is pretty much unchanged exterior wise. That original post is Subaru's press announcement, you should put more trust on that.

It seems the only thing that makes this car special is the paint and the gray trimmed seats (from the GR86?). The other two items thrown in are common accessories. You'd think Subaru would at least start with a Ts and then add the special paint.

I dont think Subaru (or any manufacturer) would use AI to create an official press announcement.....

Video is fake click-bait... original text announcement seems real. Did you think Subaru would spend money on a video? :-)

Please reread my original post. I never said nor even implied that Subaru did or would use AI. I was hoping to find either spy shots or leaked photos of the actual car to gauge the colour. Instead I found lots of fake news and that’s what I was complaining about.
The car was supposed to have been revealed yesterday, Saturday 19th. I’m waiting to see the photos from that.

Videos are popping up and hopefully some better photos will follow.
It is a very dark purple and I'm not sure about it yet. I prefer the Cadbury purple on our Caterham. However, one thing I hadn't read, (or clued into) was the two tone interior. I'm sure I read it would have grey stitching but it has light grey accents as well. Nothing up on Subaru Canada yet. Snips to show interior from 55 second YouTube video:

Kind of reminds me of that old Subaru purple they used on the SVX, but darker.

That is so dark it almost reminds me of BMW's Carbon Black or Audi's Ming Blue. With those paints, it looked black in most cases until light hit the surface at the right angle and you get a flash of a different color.
Agree if you're going to release a special edition with purple paint, own it. Go Plum Purple, BMW's Techno Violet, or Nissan's Midnight Purple. From the pictures this looks too subdued of a color to be special. Last edited by Desertnate; 10-22-2024 at 11:16 AM. |

If they were gonna release it, June would have been the appropriate month.
