Funny story, back when JPM Coachworks was still in business, I asked them in June of 2013 how much their entire alcantara dash was: $1,200! Pretty expensive but wow that would look great.
Let me know if the hood improves the windshield glare.

He looks like he is pushing pretty hard. Also depends a lot on tire. Ever watch the races at Goodwood on old bias ply's? They drive with a good amount of slip angle. Not anywhere near full lock though. Well, not often anyway.

My buddy at work bought a 56' two door Bel Air from my uncle. Has a small block out of a 70's truck but he got a decent deal. He called me over the other day because it wouldn't start. The aftermarket digital dash in it won't even light up until you wiggle or remove/reinstall the high tension wire from the coil to the distributor. Then we have power again. Pretty sure we have a bad contact somewhere between battery/ignition switch/aftermarket dash. He got some factory analog gauges to replace the digital unit. Still, weirdest shit I have seen in awhile

Sounds like it's time to clean up the contacts/wires between the coil, distributor, battery and starter.

Whoops!
Electrical gremlins back at work this week.

Went shopping a couple days ago and didn't get the trunk shut all the way again.
~ 265 mV left in the battery this morning.

Going to find a neighbor to get a jump start to get a bit of charge in.
The battery tender doesn't sense enough to even try starting to charge it.

edit: got back from an hour drive for a bump charge. Reads 12.76 now so the tender has something to bite into.
It's blinking green lights now on the tender.

If I had a '56, and money to burn, I would put this under it with an LS and 6mt.

There is a Bel Air that pops up at TT/TA events on the west coast. I have seen it a couple times. Full Speedtech chassis with LS swap. It's pretty cool to see tearing around.
