Dirt Cheap Vinyl

A friend of mine bought 5ft x 5ft 3D carbon fiber vinyl for $20. He never got around to using so he gave it to me. There doesn't seem to be a brand name anywhere.

What can go wrong with cheap vinyl?
Potential harm to paint?
What the heck do I do with it?

I know it might shrink, bubble, and get ugly

I don't think there would be any harm to the paint. My advice, use a small piece on the car and see how it holds up.

What can go wrong?
It will b a ***** to apply. It will scratch to hell and back if you look at it wrong. It will not conform to curves even with heat.

If it conforms well to the edges of the gas cap, I'll let everybody know. Pics within the next couple weeks

Been trying for weeks. Sorry forgot to update. As expected, the vinyl will not conform to curves well. It is only good for flat surfaces like the back of my Nexus 4
